Carol Forest

Massachusetts United States
(b. 1931 - d. 2014)

On January 26, 2014, Carol (Sturtevant) Forest, 82, of Springfield, Massachusetts USA, passed away peacefully at home, with members of her family present.

She was born on December 25, 1931 in Concord, New Hampshire USA. When she graduated from St. John’s High School, she received the American Legion Award for the best all-around student in academics and activities. After post-graduate studies, she worked for a short time at the State House in Concord, New Hampshire. She is survived by her husband of 63 years. Together they had 17 children, 34 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was a La Leche League Leader for many years. At the 25th anniversary of La Leche League International, she received an outstanding service award at the La Leche League International Conference in Chicago in 1981. She was an active member of the Women’s Club at her local church and a longtime member of a Mothers-Of-Twins club. To say that she was a loving wife and mother would be an understatement to all that knew her. Nothing was more valuable to her than family. She lived by very simple principals that she instilled in those around her. She welcomed everyone and never met anyone she didn’t like and always looked at the bright side of life.
